Alma Allen
Not Yet Titled
Alma Allen’s sculptures are reminiscent of those by Constantin Brâncuși and Isamu Noguchi, reflecting their ardour for experimentation, expressiveness, and originality.
Allen’s process is organic and the material itself often dictates the final form – in this case bronze, but he also works with stone and wood – whether anthropomorphic or non-representational. His work is inspired, formally and spiritually, by the monolithic natural formations that he encountered in the United States and Mexico.
